The Plot of FBI: International

FBI: International is a part of the uber-successful FBI franchise that includes FBI and FBI: Most WantedFBI: International highlights a different aspect of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the International Fly Team. This team is a highly trained group of counterterrorism investigators that includes special agents and intelligence analysts.

The show follows this team, which is headquartered in Budapest, as they travel across the globe to track and neutralize threats against American Citizens. As if their jobs weren’t interesting enough, they are not allowed to carry guns on these missions. This causes them to solely rely on their own intellect and brawn to protect the United States.

The team is led by Agent Scott Forrester, who is the Fly Team’s Special Agent. Fans enjoy seeing him spring into action, putting aside his own wants and needs to best serve those he protects, and being accompanied by his trusty dog, Tank. Alongside him is his second in command, Special Agent Jamie Kellet. She is a stellar investigator who is able to utilize her network of informants to her full advantage.

Also on the team is Special Agent Andre Raines. He is a whiz with numbers, utilizing his accounting knowledge to carefully track how criminals are moving money. There is also Special Agent Cameron Vo, who is skillful when it comes to interrogating. The newest member of the team is Megan Garretson. Garretson is a Europol agent who has a robust undercover investigation background.

Because FBI: International is the brain-child of the Emmy Award-winning executive producer, Dick Wolf, many consider it being set up for success from the get-go. For this reason, it is unsurprising that audiences really enjoyed this addition to the FBI: Franchise and renewal decisions reflect that.

FBI: International was renewed for a season 2 in May 2022. This was not the only good news that came for FBI: International fans at that time. The show was also renewed for season 3 at the same time!

Season 1 has had 21 episodes that have aired. Season 2 is expected to have 22 episodes, which are being released in the earlier part of 2023. The number of episodes fans can expect to see in season 3 has not been announced.
