Spoiler alert: The following article contains spoilers from The Rookie season 6, episode 7.
The premiere of The Rookie season 6 foreshadowed a big villain reveal, and although they haven't been concretely identified yet, episode 7 further proved that the Big Bad could be hiding in plain sight. The ABC police procedural television series, created by Alexi Hawley, has gone through its fair share of villains over the course of its six seasons, with some being more memorable and iconic (Rosalind Dyer and Nick Armstrong) than others (Elijah Stone). If the popular fan theory concerning the Rookie season 6 bad guy (or gal) is true, they have the potential to be among the greats.
The season 6 premiere picked up where the season 5 finale left off, with a dangerous crew robbing the Federal Reserve Bank in Los Angeles. The Mid-Wilshire police officers ultimately caught the leader — Boyd Taylor — but the hour's end revealed that Boyd wasn't at the top of this crime syndicate. Someone else (with greater power) is in charge, who organized Boyd's death by sniper en route to jail after Monica Stevens talked to them on the phone and advised them to do so. Unfortunately, their voice wasn't heard, but they are undoubtedly the villain looming over The Rookie season 6.
A Popular Rookie Theory Suggests Danielle Campbell's Dr. Blair London Is Season 6's Villain
Several Clues Point Towards Aaron Thorsen's Therapist Being Evil

Some theorize that Dr. Blair London, played by Danielle Campbell, is the aforementioned Big Bad of The Rookie season 6. The character was introduced in the premiere (funnily enough, right after Monica got off the phone with the mysterious person) as Aaron Thorsen's mandated therapist he must see after getting shot during the season 5 finale. Blair has popped up a few times since then, and each appearance has made her more suspicious than the last. Plus, some of Blair's strange yet subtle facial expressions could hint at her being sinister.
There were obvious sparks from Aaron and Blair's first meeting, and when they ran into each other at a bar, the two shared a drink and Aaron drove her home. Blair claimed that she had been stood up by her date, but the coincidence of her being at the same bar as Aaron is too great. Nevertheless, Aaron was confident that Blair was flirting with him. However, during their next therapy session, Blair clarified that she wasn't attracted to him. After he left her office, Blair turned towards a camera in the corner of the room and turned off the recording.
Of course, these interactions between Aaron and Blair aren't enough to declare her a villain. But Campbell, known for her parts as Davina Claire in The Originals and Kayla Powell/Olivia Moon in Tell Me a Story, is a big enough actress to warrant a role as significant as the Big Bad of The Rookie season 6. Campbell likely wasn't hired to just play Aaron's therapist and potential love interest, and episode 7 made the theory that Blair is evil even stronger.
Blair Became Tim's Therapist In The Rookie Season 6, Episode 7
Tim Went To Blair For Help
Following Tim and Lucy's breakup in The Rookie season 6, episode 6, Tim was demoted from Metro to patrol and was as lost and depressed as ever in episode 7. He tried not to show it and reverted to season 1 Tim, but Blair, riding along with the sergeant and Aaron, could see right through him. Blair called Tim out for not facing his mistakes (and trauma), and she wasn't afraid to openly discuss how she was interpreting Tim's emotions and behavior. By the hour's end, Tim decided to listen to Blair and visited her for a therapy session.
Now, two of The Rookie's main characters are Blair's patients. Perhaps Blair meant well when confronting Tim, but her actions could have been a strategic and deliberate scheme to get close to Tim. Blair has secured the trust of both Aaron and Tim, and this, combined with her previous suspicious behavior, makes the case for her being a villain intriguing, at least. No one else seems like they could be a candidate for the mystery person Monica was talking to, and it wouldn't make sense for The Rookie writers to introduce someone new to play them during the finale.

With three episodes remaining in The Rookie season 6, things will begin to pick up steam as the ABC series heads towards an explosive finale. If Blair is the Big Bad, viewers should expect to see more of her in the upcoming episodes, and perhaps more clues suggesting she is a villain will emerge. Aaron and Tim are obviously in the most danger if the villain theory is correct, as they are the closest to Blair. However, fans must wait and see if Blair's threat is deadly and what her (alleged) mysterious plans for the characters in The Rookie are.
