Why is Law & Order off the air tonight on NBC?
Law & Order is off the air tonight on NBC because the popular television series is going on a hiatus until Thursday, April 11, 2024.
The show's X account shared the news on Thursday, March 21.
"Another #LawAndOrder Thursday comes to an end. Join us Thursday, April 11 for all-new episodes of #LawAndOrder, #SVU, and #OrganizedCrime!" the social media post said.
New episodes of Law & Order typically air on Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on NBC, followed by Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (SVU) at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT and Law & Order: Organized Crime at 10 p.m. ET/9 p.m. CT.
The Law & Order franchise is also available for streaming the following day on Peacock.
Season 23, episode 9 of Law & Order will premiere on April 11, followed by season 25, episode 9 of SVU, and season 4, episode 9 of Law & Order: Organized Crime.
