‘Fire Country’ Fans Are Terrified for Manny After Seeing Season 3’s Latest Episode Promo

This story contains spoilers from Fire Country season 3 episode 14, "Death Trap."

Is something amiss in the world of Three Rock? Based on the newest promo for Fire Country, it appears so — and it's affecting a beloved character.

As the hit CBS drama continues to air new season 3 episodes every Friday night, folks witnessed former Three Rock captain-turned-inmate Manny Perez (Kevin Alejandro) undergo a medical emergency at the end of the season 3 episode "Death Trap." After viewers learned the rest of the prisoners were reeling after the death of Birch (Jeff Gladstone), Eve Edwards (Jules Latimer) couldn't accept that the cause came from an undetected bad cold. Well, based on Manny needing severe medical attention as a cliffhanger, she may just be correct in her theory.

Now, it looks like viewers will get more information about what is going on at Three Rock, thanks to a new promo released on March 7. The 20-second clip for the upcoming episode "One Last Time" sees Manny shaking on his bed, with no resolution as to what is causing the illness. And if that's not enough, this is all happening as Bode Leone (Max Thieriot) and Jake Crawford (Jordan Calloway) find themselves trapped in a lighthouse rescue operation that turns extremely dangerous.

When fans saw the new Fire Country episode will feature Manny's unexplained malady, they were immediately concerned for his welfare in the comments.

"Manny better be ok!!!! We love you Kevin Alejandro!!! ❤️❤️❤️," one person begged. "Is it Friday yet? I need to know what’s going on with Manny. He’s my favorite!" another inquired.

While we'll have to tune in to find out exactly what is wrong with Manny, Kevin told Parade that fans will see just how important friendships and bonding are to the world of Three Rock with this storyline.

"It shows the opportunity that Three Rock has, led by Eve, to step up, and really shows the genuine sort of camaraderie that Three Rock has," he told the outlet on March 7. "So we go on a journey of figuring out what the hell is going on over at Three Rock, but it leads to something much bigger towards the end of this season."
