Dua Lipa nets massive payout after Glastonbury performance

Pop sensation Dua Lipa rakes in a staggering £1 million a week, headlining Glastonbury and solidifying her place as one of music's top earners!

Dua Lipa, the dazzling pop star who lit up the Glastonbury stage, has seen her fortune skyrocket, raking in an extraordinary £1 million a week last year from her chart-topping music and electrifying performances.

The young pop sensation’s bank balance has swelled to an eye-watering £100 million, making her one of the most successful pop stars of her generation.

The financial details, hotter than hell, come from the recent accounting books of her Radical Live firm.

The documents reveal that Dua turned over a mind-boggling £51.6 million, more than doubling her 2022 earnings of £24.5 million.

Of that, a cool £21.8 million was pure profit, a massive jump from the previous year.

Dua’s financial empire is not just confined to her UK success.

She raked in £17.8 million from Europe, £18.5 million from North America, £7.3 million from South America, £6.5 million from Down Under, and £4.3 million from other parts of the world.

Her Glastonbury gig alone was a significant contributor, with 'performance fees' bringing in a whopping £46.5 million.

Merchandise sales and other income also added to her fortune, with nearly £1 million from merchandise and £4.3 million listed as 'other income' on her balance sheet.

And that's not all! Dua’s accounts showed £10.7 million in 'payments to members,' a category that includes only her and her mum, Anesa. Not too shabby, eh?

The BBC couldn't stop singing her praises after her sensational Glasto set, saying: "Dua hit every mark with the precision of someone who'd been building towards this moment for years.

"But if that makes it sound clinical and sterile, it wasn't the case."

Indeed, Dua’s performance was as flawless as a Future Nostalgia disco ball, reflecting her rise to the top.

Her latest album, Radical Optimism, is already a smash hit, topping charts in five countries, including the UK.

With record sales soaring and a sold-out gig at Wembley Stadium planned for 2025, next year’s accounts might just top this year’s.

But it’s not just music that’s padding Dua’s pockets. She’s recently dipped her toes into TV production and runs the lifestyle page Service95, which promises to boost her riches even further.

Her acting chops in Greta Gerwig’s Barbie and her chart-topping single, Dance The Night, from the same film, prove that there's nothing this pop powerhouse can't do.

Let’s not forget her jaw-dropping seven Brit Awards and three Grammys. In 2021, Time magazine even included her on the Time 100 Next list.

She’s also collaborated with Sir Elton John on the hit Cold Heart, adding another No. 1 single to her collection, alongside Houdini, Training Season, and Illusion.

Dua’s dream of headlining Glastonbury wasn't just a fleeting thought. She manifested it back when she was working on her 2017 self-titled debut album.

She said: "While I was working on my first album, I had written it down, I guess like a dream board, a manifestation, that on my third album I would love to work with Tame Impala.

"Alongside writing, 'I'd love to work with Tame Impala,' I also wrote down, 'I would love to headline Glastonbury on the Pyramid Stage on Friday night,' and, yeah, it just happened."

From her humble beginnings in London, living in a Camden flat and working as a restaurant hostess to make ends meet, Dua’s rise to pop stardom is nothing short of meteoric.

She started releasing music on Soundcloud and YouTube before her single Hotter than Hell climbed to number 15 in the charts in 2016.

Dua’s journey is a testament to her hard work and relentless pursuit of happiness.

As she told Elle magazine in April: “You have to make room for joy. The world can be burning down, but goddamn…if you didn’t spend any of your life trying to be happy, I don't know what you’ve done.”
