Hanah and Segun in Big Brother 2024 had one of the more interesting dynamics, as the two were firm friends but it also seemed to have a majorly flirty undertone. Both of them had said they could never date each other for religious reasons, and also because Segun said he has a girl on the outside who wasn’t his girlfriend but was in his heart (or something). Their relationship really went south when the flirting stuff came to a head, and a message Hanah got from her friends from home saying be wary of Segun had her step away from it. And by the time the final happened, Hanah and Segun friendship era seemed to be a thing purely tied to the Big Brother house.
Now Hanah and Segun have been out of the Big Brother house for a few weeks, she just went on a podcast to give an update on what’s going on with them. And guys… It ain’t looking good.
Speaking on Will Njobvu’s podcast, Hanah addressed Segun and his ‘betrayal’ in Big Brother. When asked if she’d spoken to Segun since the final, Hanah said “No. I don’t plan to. No.” Will then says Segun said if the two saw each other it would be cool, to which Hanah replied “No. I haven’t spoken to him at all.” Will asks if Segun has tried to reach out and / or tried to apologise, to which Hanah claims he’s done neither.
“Public disrespect equals public apology. That’s how I see it as being: Public disrespect equals public apology. You know what’s so crazy, when I had the Late and Live chat when I came out of the house and all the housemates were speaking to me saying ‘Hanah, x, y, z yada yada yada’. Daze came up to me and said by the way sister, he nominated me.
“I said, god forbid. God forbid. Because guess what, we had the ACS committee. If you don’t know what the ACS committee is, it happens in universities where we put our pinkies together and did a little promise that we should not betray each other. And then he nominated my good sis.
“I’m not taking away that he might be a good guy, but what I’ve seen and what I got. My homegirls were right: It’s giving two flip sides of the same coin. That’s how I see it as being. If it is a mistake on his part, we’re human beings. However, once you make a mistake go up to me and say ‘I made a mistake, I sincerely apologise’. I’m a forgiving girl. I don’t forget, though.”
